R66 Revolving Restaurant is the only revolving restaurant in Hong Kong. It took 66 minutes for each rotation when it opened in 1980. Located on the 62th floor of Hopewell Centre with the floor-to-ceiling window offers the best snap shot views of Victoria Harbor together with a live band performance. It offers from la carte menu to international buffet that gives you unique and unforgettable experience.

I am incredibly behind on posts from my travels to Taiwan and Hong Kong last summer. But better than never right? Last summer I flew to Hong Kong for a weekend for my 21st birthday. Since it was a spur of the moment I didn’t do much planning but there was a few things on my list. Shop like crazy at Ladies Market, eat lots of fresh seafood and dimsum, and have a incredible 21st birthday (whether I remembered it or not). And the trip topped of the most amazing ones I’ve had. Over a course of 3 days I met 11 fabulous people from all over the world, gained 4 pounds and slept a total of 13 hours. Anyway, going back to R66 Restaurant. My coworker told me that if I wanted to have an awesome birthday dinner I needed to do it big. 65 stories high and a 360 degree of Hong Kong bay. My dad made a reservation from the U.S. for me before I arrived to Hong Kong.
This is a buffet that I’ve never been to before and probably will never be able to again. It rotates 360 degrees so it has to have a line of food that goes 360 degrees around the restaurant. Anything from authentic dimsum, sushi, steak, ect all the way to desserts. I’ll just let the photos do the talking.
And while you’re enjoying the food, don’t forget to look outside. It changes every minute! You get a panoramic view of Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbor.
We were also lucky enough to see the sun go down and the city lights come on, which included Hong Kong’s symphony of lights.
And a birthday wouldn’t be the same without 21 shots right? My lovely friends started me up on the count at 10 in the morning after we visited Victoria’s Peak, which by the way is amazing!
The manager was really sweet to bring me a birthday drink as well. After dinner we hopped to downtown Hong Kong’s Lai Kwai Fong, which is 20 times better than Austin’s 6th Street.
