As you know Hurricane Harvey hit Texas wrecking havoc on our coastal cities and especially Houston, Rockport, and Port Aransas. There are many ways to help contribute by either donating or volunteering or even dining at our local restaurants in Austin that are raising proceeds.

When Mayor Adler posted this video asking us to make welcome kits for Harvey evacuees coming to Austin, I was inspired to help out and make mini care packages! 6000 evacuees are coming to Austin and Austin Disaster Relief Network needs 5,000 to 6,000 welcome kits to distribute to shelter occupants in Austin. Brew & Brew is donating $1 from all beers sold and on-site bagel spot Rosen’s is donating a dollar for every sandwich sold this week.
JO’S COFFEE
This Sunday 9/3, all Jo’s Coffee locations will be donating 10% of sales to Circle of Health to provide emergency services to mothers and babies in need in South Texas disaster areas.
LICK ICE CREAMS
Lick Honest Ice Creams is donating 100% of proceeds from their Texas Sheet Cake pints sold at all of their Austin + San Antonio shops to the American Red Cross.

All proceeds from the Smoke Out plates and beers from the Houston breweries listed below will be donated t o Global Giving’s Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund to help with relief efforts.
SNOOZE
On Bacon Day, September 2, Snooze will donate 10% of sales from all Texas locations on Saturday, September 2nd to the Houston Food Bank to assist in their efforts to provide food and shelter for those affected by Hurricane Harvey. This year, Snooze’s bacon-specific specials include: a bacon pancake (Wake Me Up Before You Oink Oink Pancake), a bacon benny (Farmhouse BLT Benny), and a bacon cocktail (Bacon Bomber).
On Friday, September 8, Snooze will also donate 10% of sales Snooze-wide to the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund. Established by Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner, the fund will provide relief services for victims that have been affected by the recent floods.
BOILER NINE
To support those affected by Hurricane Harvey, Boiler Nine will donate a portion of Happy Hour proceeds to the American Red Cross from Monday, August 28 – Thursday, August 31.
JACOBY’S
Jacoby Restaurant Group is donating $2 from every burger, Melvin Mule, picadillo taco, and Grizz Mizz sold from both Jacoby’s and Grizzelda’s to the Red Cross.
KYOTEN
Kyoten is donating $40 for each dinner guest served between Wednesday, August 30 through Sunday, September 10 to Houston Texan football player JJ Watt’s hurricane recovery fund for the city.

Hoover’s Cooking is donating all happy hour drink sales (4 – 7 pm) to Salvation Army and the Greater Austin Restaurant Association’s hurricane fundraising efforts.

Bufalina and Bufalina Due are both donating margherita pie sales on August 30 to the Houston Food Bank.
OASTHOUSE
Oasthouse Kitchen and Bar is donating all earnings from service on Thursday, August 31 towards the Red Cross.
BATCH
Batch Craft Beer & Kolaches is hosting a Hurricane Harvey Relief Fundraiser benefiting the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund on Saturday, September 2 beginning at 6:00 p.m. Batch will be offering a special “Hatch Recovery Kolache” made with Micklethwait’s Craft Meats’ pulled pork shoulder, hatch green chili, and cheese; and a special keg of Yellow Rose IPA from Lone Pint Brewery in Houston. All proceeds from this special keg and kolache will be donated directly to the Red Cross.
DEEP EDDY VODKA
On Saturday, September 2nd, Deep Eddy Vodka will be donating every dollar spent in the Tasting Room to the Gulf Coast Chapter of the American Red Cross. Deep Eddy Vodka will also be accepting donations for Hurricane Harvey relief every day from 11:00am – 7:00pm starting Thursday, August 31st until Friday, September 8th. After which, donations will continue to be collected for the foreseeable future during Tasting Room hours.
