H Mart Austin has officially opened in Cedar Park with Austin’s very first food hall, Market Eatery! I’m so excited for this opening because Austin has seriously been lacking in Asian food and now we get 8 new Asian restaurants. Yup, 8 new Asian restaurants. There’s also a bar inside Market Eatery so you can drink while shopping through H Mart!

I hosted a grand opening event tonight at Market Eatery and ate at the new restaurants. Happy to report back that they’re #kokoapproved. Keep reading for all the details.
Table of Contents
MOMO SUSHI
When you first walk into Market Eatery, Momo Sushi is your first stop with Japanese sushi. There are chirashi bowls, sushi rolls, nigiri, and bento boxes.
SOGONGDONG TOFU HOUSE
I’ll be eating at Sodongdong Tofu House a lot because I love Korean tofu soup. Sogongdong’s menu is filled with tofu soup options along with Korean pancakes, dumplings, and more.
LAI LAI
For traditional Chinese food, go to Lai Lai for noodles, dumplings, and Chinese entrees.
SUNDAY BIRD
There is Korean fried chicken at H Mart. I repeat, KFC – Korean fried chicken.
MIX
MIX serves up Korean inspired street food like treok-bokki (spicy rice cake), rice balls, eomuk (fish cake soup), ramen, fried dumplings, cup bap (K-food in a cup), and bulgogi hot dog (pictured above).
KATSU
I’ve never heard of hambak steak before, apparently, it’s Korean-style Salisbury steak. Katsu’s menu has Korean bulgogi, Texas-style, Hawaiian-style, Chicago-style, and Napa-style hambak steak. You can also get Korean-style wraps! Katsu isn’t open just yet but will be in a couple of weeks.
SNO MO
Snow Monster has also set up shop inside Market Eatery with a baby version called Sno Mo, with Taiwanese shaved ice, boba tea, and waffles.
TOUS LES JOURS
And it wouldn’t be an H Mart opening without the best Korean bakery, Tous Les Jours. LOVED the egg cream bun and chewy doughnuts.
