Summer is around the corner and it’s time to get ready for the sweltering triple digit temperatures.
Owned and operated by Andy Ramos, Yeti Frozen Custard is Austin’s premiere Frozen Custard Truck. The legendary confection is made fresh to frozen daily with a richer and more velvety-smooth consistency than boring old ice cream. Originally from San Diego, Yeti Frozen Custard is brand new to the Austin scene. You can find them at 1502 S First St, across from Sway Thai and Elizabeth’s Cafe.
Yeti Frozen Custard is a very rich, creamy frozen dessert made with cream, sugar, and eggs.
Like ice cream, it comes in a variety of flavors and can be served with pieces of fruit or candy mixed in. Try a Yeti original, the Frozen Custard Coffee Float or dare to conquer the Himalayan Sundae on your next visit!
What to order: Bailey’s Irish Cream Dizzy with Vanilla ice cream and shot of Bailey’s and hot fudge. (Pictured above) This was available only on St. Patrick’s Day but if you bring your own Bailey’s, they will mix it in for you! Best BYOB!
Beware – too many frozen custards might just turn you into the Yeti himself!
I’ll be getting the Floating Yeti next time – freshly brewed Cuvee Coffee (roasted in Austin) poured over vanilla custard. The perfect pick-me-up.
