The Old Fashioned is one of the world’s oldest and finest cocktails. Commonly made with bourbon or rye whiskey, but gin, brandy, and rum all work really well. This classic cocktail is made by muddling sugar with bitters, then adding alcohol, such as bourbon or whiskey, and a twist of citrus rind. My favorite part is the large, crystal clear ice cube!

Meet the Black Cherry Old Fashioned – a bold, dark, deliciously spiced version of the classic Old Fashioned. Bulleit Bourbon is combined with Bittermans Burlesque Bitters, slightly sweetened with black cherry syrup, poured over a hand-carved rock ice, and garnished with a Luxardo Cherry.
Black Cherry Old Fashioned Recipe
Ingredients
- Bulliet Bourbon
- Bittermans Burlesque Bitters
- Black cherry syrup
- Luxardo cherries
- Orange peel
- Rocks glass
- Large rock ice
Instructions
- Add 15-20 drops of Bittermans Burlesque Bitters directly into rocks glass.
- Add 1/2 ounce of Black Cherry Syrup using small jigger into glass.
- 1 1/2 ounces of Bulliet Bourbon using large jigger into glass.
- 1 large rock ice into glass. Stir with stir spoon and garnish with Luxardo cherry on toothpick.
- Express orange peel over cocktail and enjoy!
