My favorite cocktail is the margarita and if I’m dining out, you can bet that’s what I’m going to order. At home, I don’t always have time to whip out all the bar tools to make a margarita so I love having bottles of Cayman Jack® Margarita and Cuban Mojito in the fridge!

Cayman Jack Margarita is a ready-to-drink margarita that’s handcrafted with 100 percent blue agave nectar from Mexico – one of the most cherished ingredients in the margarita world – organic limes, and pure cane sugar. My fridge is always stocked with a couple bottles of Cayman Jack Margarita so when friends come over or if I’m feeling like having a little happy hour to myself, I can just open up a bottle and enjoy a premium cocktail in seconds.
If I’m feeling extra fancy, I salt the rim of a cocktail glass, pour Cayman Jack Margarita over ice, and garnish with a lime!
I celebrated Cinco de Mayo with Cayman Jack at one of my favorite local Austin restaurants, Emmer & Rye. Emmer & Rye is a farm-to-table restaurant located on Rainey St. that serves American cuisine and they push dim sum carts during dinner and brunch service. I named Emmer & Rye best restaurant of the year in 2015!
Emmer & Rye made a special dish just for Cinco de Mayo that paired well with Cayman Jack Margarita. The red snapper agua chile with grapefruit, agua chile, and fennel was delicious and refreshing.
My favorite dishes at Emmer & Rye:
- Labneh, Fried Pecan, Oregano, Olive Oil, Allium Capers, White Sonora Roti
- Blue Beard Durum Spaghetti ‘Cacio e Pepe’, Challerhocker, Black Pepper
- Blue Crab, Cabbage, Green Garlic, Carolina Gold Rice, XO
- Lamb Belly, Tomato, Cumin, Oregano, Grilled Bread, Balichok Rouille
- Oyster Mushroom Carpaccio, Allium Capers, Meyer Lemon Aioli
The labneh with the housemade white sonora roti is SO good – we got two for the table.
Enjoy!
