When Lenovo asked me what kind of tastemaker I was, I easily said, “I’m the Food Instagrammer/Blogger!” I launched A Taste of Koko over 5 years ago, and have loved sharing my food and travel adventures. On my days off and the weekends, it typically consist of sleeping in, restaurant tastings, scouting out the hidden gems in the city, and editing/writing editorial.
I was thrilled to try out Lenovo’s new YOGA 3 Pro, and was surprised on how easily it was incorporated into my blogger lifestyle. Check out the Lenovo Trend Hub to see the other amazing real-life tastemakers. Curious on a day in the life of a food blogger? Here’s a peek inside my life!
P.S. I’m giving away a Lenovo 3 Pro, enter down below!
A Day In The Life Of A Food Blogger
9:15am: “Hit snooze and grab my phone to check Instagram. I’ll then check my Facebook, Twitter, and emails on my laptop, and respond to messages. Typical breakfast includes a cup of coffee and some sort of baked good. I’m having a bowl of French Toast Crunch today, anyone else stoked that General Mills brought this back? I use to eat this all the time when I was little.”
9:45am: “Quick shower and then take Basil for a walk with second cup of coffee.”
10:30am: “Contigo is one of our favorite brunch spots. Plus, it’s only 10 minutes walking from my place! Order the beef tongue hash!”

12:15pm: “Picked up some flowers from the Mueller Farmers Market on the way back. Love these from Prickly Pair Farms, a sustainable farm outside of Austin.”
2:05pm: “When Tessa of Chocolaterie Tessa invited me over for a chocolate tasting at her artisanal chocolate shop, I had to say yes! The shop has a beautiful, modern, and elegant open layout with a stunning marble showcase of chocolate mounds, truffles, salted butter caramels (our favorite!), pâte de fruits, dark chocolates, and more. We even got to tour the kitchen and learn about the same speciality chocolate-coating enrober machine that her dad used in 1984. Tessa handcrafts all the chocolates in small batches using the world’s finest chocolate and ingredients that are free of artificial colors, flavors, and preservatives. We had so much fun tasting and smelling the different chocolates!”
5:30pm: “Dinner time! I typically schedule one to three restaurant tastings on the weekends. I’m writing a round up for Best Sandwiches in Austin so we’re at Austin Daily Press today. The jalapeño hushpuppies are so good, it has a mochi-like texture. Double-checking my photos from earlier on my Yoga Pro 3!
