Welcome to my new living room – psst, it’s actually my master bedroom! Why did I convert my master bedroom into a living room? Because I’ve been needing an Instagram-friendly set up at home and the lighting downstairs is terrible.

I knew I wanted a multipurpose couch so I opted for the Interior Define Charly Sleeper Sofa – it’s both a sofa and a bed so I can pull out the bed if guests come over. More info below on why I love my new sleeper sofa and you can win it too!
Here’s my original bedroom set up with the IKEA queen malm bed.
The Charly was designed by Chris and Julia Marcum, founders of popular home design blog Chris Loves Julia. I would have loved to pick the Charly Sleeper with the Left Chaise but sadly it wouldn’t fit in my bedroom.
Interior Define allows you to design your own customized furniture – the legs, fabrics, and colors. If you live in Austin, stop by their newly opened showroom at Domain NORTHSIDE (11701 Domain Blvd STE 180). You can also order fabric and color swatches shipped to you free of charge. 10 swatches later, I finally picked Mod velvet in the Oxford Blue color with Oiled walnut wood L leg.
Interior Define does have kid and pet-friendly fabrics, including the mod velvet. Basil, Beethoven, and I all have been loving our new sleeper sofa!
The Charly is easily converted from sofa to bed in less than one minute. Just pull off the cushions and then pull the bed out from inside the sofa. The 5.5-inch-thick, memory-foam-topped mattress and dual innerspring system is super comfy. The mattress can be put back into the sofa with the bed sheet on it too.
