It’s almost mandatory for weekends to start with a delicious brunch and my recent favorite has been L’Oca d’Oro. This contemporary Italian restaurant just opened this summer in Mueller, blending old world Italian tradition with modern technique in a comfortable dining experience.
Scroll down for pictures of the restaurant. I loved the quiet colors and plant-filled dining room.

Go to L’Oca d’Oro for brunch and then check out the Texas Farmers’ Market at Mueller on Sundays for fresh groceries and local goods. The Thinkery is located right next door to L’Oca d’Oro too!
Table of Contents
French Toast Bread Pudding
With peach compote and creme fraiche
Porchetta Hash
Fried duck egg, fingerlings, and red onion agrodolce. My favorite dish that I tried at L’oco O’doro that I will be coming back to brunch for. The crispy potatoes were delicious!
Croque Signora
Prosciutto Cotto, scamorza, bechamel on brioche topped with sunny side up egg.
Broxton Burger
Mix of brisket, lamb and pancetta topped with ciccioli, scamorza, red onion, b&b pickles, garlic aioli with home fries.
Sausage & Egg Muffin
Rabbit-pancetta sausage, piperade butter and english muffin. I was/am obsessed with L’Oca d’Oro’s freshly baked english muffin. Obsessed to the point where I begged them to start selling them!
Smoked Steelhead Benny
Poached egg, english muffin (again, obsessed with this dish because of the english muffin), and hollandaise.
Full Italian
Go full Italian with the poached eggs, prosciutto cotto, slab bacon, grilled tomato, mushroom conserva, and arugula with toast.
