The popular Thai restaurant Titaya’s has reopened featuring a brand new logo, modern decor, and a new upscale Thai menu with affordable prices. Gone are the battered furniture and dim lighting. Titaya’s newly designed interior includes a large waiting area, fancy bar, sleek wooden tables, contemporary artwork on the walls and color picture frames hanging from the ceiling.
Titaya’s brother, Ek Timrerk, the chef at Spin Modern Thai told Zagat
She’s doing a whole new renovation. She’s redoing everything, the interior design. She’s expanding the kitchen, redoing the dining rooms, new complete look. She’s going to keep a little more than half of the menu, the popular items. Then I’m going to help her create a special menu, something like that, to go with it.
We’re going to try to make it a little more upscale. There will be some traditional stuff [on the menu] too, but there will be some modern stuff in there.
The new lunch menu features popular dishes from Titaya’s original menu and popular dishes from Spin Modern Thai. The lunch specials are served with soup of the day.

Hung Pao Bun’s. Northern region curry braised pork belly in steam bun with cucumber, serrano and cilantro. The pork belly wasn’t as tender as I hoped and was lacking in flavor.
Pad Thai. Thai rice noodles stir-fried with egg, preserved radish, bean sprouts, green onions and sweet tamarind sauce. Served with bean sprouts and topped with crushed peanuts and lime wedge. I hated Titaya’s pad thai. It was the first thing I ordered when I visited the restaurant and apparently it was the only thing you shouldn’t order there. HOWEVER, my friend insisted on ordering the pad thai today and.. holy crap, it’s AMAZING. The noodles are chewy, saucey, and super flavorful. Pro tip: Ask for chicken, beef, pork, and tofu.
Kao SOI 360. A spin on a classic, braised chicken leg quarter with ramen noodle in a tumeric-based curry, red onion, pickled mustard greens, bean sprouts, basil, cilantro, toasted peanuts and egg noodle crisp. Not my favorite, still prefer the pad thai.
